Just days after Yahoo and Bing got their new logo, Google is FLAT-ifying the own logo to, The new logo is completely flat and no, it hasn’t done by a certain Apple designer.
ArsTechnica had initially spotted the new Flat Google logo hidden inside the code of the new Chrome beta for Android but Google had denied any Logo revamp.
Today, on their blog post, Google has confirmed the new logo will be rolled out soon. Google wrote in a blog post about its new app launcher.
Your Google products are now accessible under a new app launcher, located at the top right of the screen. Just click on the familiar ‘Apps’ grid, also present on Android devices and Chromebooks: As part of this design, we’ve also refined the color palette and letter shapes of the Google logo. We’ll be rolling out this update across most Google products over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out and let us know your thoughts.
Apart from the logo changes, Google also plans to replace its navigation bar with an Android-esque grid of icons.
This apparently, has been done in an attempt to streamline the user experience across various platforms such as phones, tables, and PCs. The company plans to roll out this update over the next few weeks.
With the new home page all the apps such as Gmail, Drive, etc will disappear from the top and come on the right side of the screen.
