How to know if your Facebook Account is Hacked

Posted on February 20, 2011 by Dhawal D

Even if you have not noticed  some  suspicious  activities  on  your  Facebook  wall, its worth to make secure your Facebook profile. Despite of all the  security and  privacy  concerns on Facebook,  there is  some simple  security  built  into  Facebook,  some of these  features are  new and are added with new version of profile (if you have upgraded yours), all this is there to  help  you  quickly  detect  any  unauthorized  person  log  in and  using  your  Facebook  account. The tutorial below is to help you make your Facebook account secure.

After you have logged-in to you Facebook account click  Account (At the top right corner of the page, in the blue bar logo  Facebook), after this click  Account Settings and in these settings you will find  Account  Security tab.  Here you can find the  list  containing  all  computers and other facebook compatible gadgets  that  have  subscribed to  your  Facebook account  and when.  You can  also  easily  approximate  geographiclocation of  all  these  device in the list  based  on  the  IP  address  that was used  to  get into  your  Facebook  profile.

Also from where your Faceboook Account has been accessed

via scitechie.com

If you  have  any  unknown  device or location in this list, you can always  click the  corresponding end  activity to kick that user out of your facebook account, and remember to change you password.

With lot of picture and videos along with  personal information its  worth  to follow these steps now, before some password hacker make you  learn this important  feature. To add even more  security you can use the alert email or SMS service as you can  also  click  e-mail  and  SMS  alerts  to  receive  if any unauthorized person  tries  to use  your  Facebook  account.
