10 inch tablet wars: Nokia Lumia 2502 vs Apple iPad vs Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

In this article we are going to speak about the specifications and features of the tablets unveiled by Nokia, Apple and Samsung for the OS respectively.

From Nokia we have the Lumia 2520: this was a tablet unveiled side by side with the Lumia 1320 & Lumia 1520, showing us that when Nokia decided to go beyond 4.5 inch with their devices they made sure they went all the way till 10 inch.

 



The Lumia 2520 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 800 processor, has 2GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU, a 6.7 MP Carl Zeiss optics camera & a Full HD 10.1 inch screen backed with Nokia’s ClearBlack display. It runs the Windows 8.1 RT software.

From Apple we have the new iPad Air: this is apple’s thinnest and lightest iPad till date. It is powered by the same 9.7” Retina display which is now more power efficient, new Apple A7 chip, PowerVR G6430 Graphics, a 5 MP iSight camera & iOS 7.0.3.

From Samsung we get the 2014 edition of the Note 10.1: It has a super high resolution 10.1” screen, powered by Snapdragon 800 processor for the LTE model while the 3G is the Octa core variant, has a 3GB RAM, a 8MP camera &  runs Android Jelly Bean 4.3 out of the box.
It also comes with the S-Pen, giving us similar integrated features that one can find on the Note 3.

While Apple is the only one that has released Prices on their various available models, Samsung has just released the 3G variant price that is available in India for about 49,990/- Nokia is yet to release its pricing.

Those fans of the iOS and Apple will be happy with the new iPad as it does have the latest chipset and better ergonomics. The camera being a 5MP is the only real downside

People who are contemplating on options to either get a Windows 8.1 laptop or a tablet now have a choice to consider the Nokia Lumia 2520. It has a 10” ClearBlack display Full HD screen, the latest Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB RAM, great inbuilt memory of 32GB that is expandable & also a 6.7MP Carl Zeiss lens equipped camera. On the Android OS, Samsung has delivered another great Tablet in the form of Note 10.1 2014 edition. It does feel like a Note 3 on a bigger display with the S-pen integrated features. Android fans who have the money to spend should not look any further than this tablet.
