Apple announced the iPhone 5 yesterday in San Francisco in true Apple style, however, this time they were able to keep the secret from the Eagle eyes and most of the specifications and design that were leaked out were that we saw on the release, be it the design of the iPhone, the Earphones that come along or even the smaller charging connector.
Specifications of the iPhone 5
The iPhone features a 4 inch Retina display, 1136 x 640 pixels and 326ppi, it is taller than the previous model at 4.87 inches and 2.31 inches wide, it is also thinner than the iPhone 4S at just 0.3 inches thick, it weighs in at 112 grams.
The body is entirely made up of Glass and Aluminium and is available in Black and White, however, the back panel has a two-tone color scheme.
The processor on the iPhone 5 is 2 times faster than the one on the iPhone 4s, the A6 processor is more powerful and has better graphics, while reducing the battery consumption.
The iPhone 5 comes with 4G LTE connectivity (LTE ) along with HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA to enable users to use ultra-fast connection without LTE as well, the Wi-Fi has also been loaded up and now offers dual-channel 5GHz capability with speeds clocking 150Mbps, it now is
The iPhone 5 now comes with 4G LTE, and it also features either GSM/Edge for networks like AT&T or CDMA for networks like Sprint and Verizon, plus it comes with UMTS/HSP+ and DSC-HSDPA,  802.11a/b/g/n WiFi and 802.11N on 2.4GHz and GHz frequencies, there is also Bluetooth 4.0 and GLONASS.
Along with the slimmer design the iPhone 5 now features a smaller SIM card, a Nano SIM card which was designed by Apple and has been accepted as an industry standard.
Siri does more than before, while will now work over Wi-Fi AND cellular networks, will check game scores, search for restaurant and even book tables for you.
The Camera on the iPhone 5 is a 8 megapixel sensor, capable of clicking 3264×2448 resolutions images, a hybrid IR filter, backside illumination and five-element lens, Did we tell you it takes 28 megapixel Panoramic shots?
The front facing Camera is a 1.2 megapixel camera capable of taking 720p videos and comes with a backside illuminated sensor and can take 1.2 megapixel photos.
It boasts Face detection and can capture full HD 1080p videos with enhanced image stability and has an ability to take photos while recording.
FaceTime can now be used over Cellular Networks, this is an iOS 6 feature.
The iPhone 5 can delivery up to 8 hours talk time over 3G, up to 8 hours browsing time of LTE and 3G, and up to 10 hours over WiFi, this is a general improvement over the battery on the iPhone 4S.
Apple has adopted an 9-pin both side Charging/data connector for the New iPhone 5 and have called it Lightning, they will be shipping adapters along with the iPhone so users can use the previous generation chargers.
