Google Introduces Google Map Navigation and Live Traffic Updates in India

3 days back, I was wondering wouldn’t it be awesome to get traffic updates from Google in India, especially when I’m on Android Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus and generally shows your the Time required to get back home.

Usually it doesn’t take into consideration the traffic, provided the traffic stuck time in Mumbai is Crazy, NOT ANYMORE, Google Introduces Live Traffic Update along with Google Now Integration in Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad., which will now tell me the traffic situation to let me know the time I would take to get back home or my Office.

This can also be seen on Google Maps, all you have to do is Enable the Traffic Layer.

So, when you open up Google Maps, it shows your Green and Red Markers on the Map, Green Meaning Low Traffic and Red Meaning High traffic.

You can accordingly plan your journey or let Google Maps do it for you by automatically calculating the fastest route to your destination.

Not only this, The turn-by-turn and Voice Navigation which I missed in India, which especially help me on my trip to the UK has also arrived in India and this is Google Now Integrated too.

So, all I have to do is, Open Google Now and say where I have to go, it will map out the trip in Google Maps Navigation and show me the directions with the least traffic, I can also select, if I want to avoid highways and Tolls.

The Maps Navigation not only does a turn-by-turn Navigation but also has a Voice Navigation like other GPS apps including MapMyIndia, TomTom, etc. had, for FREE.

You can have the summary of the route before hand, you can check it by click on the < and > arrows you see on the Top Bar of the App.

What do you think about these features now available in India?
