You may first time have trouble connecting the Samsung Galaxy S2 to the PC, you may struggle with the issue when you try to  connect  the phone to the  PC  to access the  SD  card et. al. An error message appears “Android MTP Failed!”. You may also think that the phone is defective might go in for a replacement, but wait, there is a trick to get the Samsung Galaxy S2 to get connected to the PC.
Ensure that you have already installed necessary drivers for your Samsung Galaxy S2 or install KIES on your PC.
- Enable usb debugging from Menu > Settings > Applications
- return to home screen
- plug usb cable in
- pull down status bar
- press connect usb storage’ button
TAADAAAAAAAAAA!
Still didn’t work?
Ok here is another alternative
- Go to Settings
- Wireless & Network
- USB utilities and click the button
- then (and ONLY then) plug in USB cable
Voila!
