The South Korean manufacturer, Samsung has launched its new offering Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2, the successor of popular Galaxy S Duos. This Smartphone has been launched in the mid-level price segment where one more sizzling hot launch is expected soon. The Finnish manufacturers, Nokia is all set to launch the successor of best selling Lumia 520, named as Nokia Lumia 525 in the Indian market carrying a competitive price tag.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 sports a 4-inch WVGA Touch screen display which produces a resolution of 480×800 pixels at 233 pixels per inch. Whereas, Nokia Lumia 525 sports a bright 4 inches IPS LCD touch screen which produces the same resolution of 480×800 pixels at a rate of 235 pixels per inch.

Processor & RAM

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual Core Processor coupled with 786 MB of RAM. While Nokia Lumia 525 is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon S4 Dual Core processor supported by better 1GB of RAM.

Operating System

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 runs on Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. And its competitor, Nokia Lumia 525 runs on a different platform. It runs on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 OS with the latest Amber update. Both these operating systems are far different from each other. Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 packs a 5 Megapixels Autofocus rear camera featuring LED flash. This Smartphone also packs a VGA camera on its front to support your video calls.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is fuelled by a 1500mAH battery, which promises up to 8 hours of talk time and 280 hours of standby.

Nokia Lumia 525 is fuelled by a 1450mAH battery which promises up to 17 hours of talk time and 336 hours of standby.


Both these Smartphones are well equipped with the latest features, which will serve all your Smartphone needs. Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 packs a VGA front camera and LED flash on its back, while Lumia 525 has better 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The only big difference between these two which are worth pointing out is their operating systems. Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is an Android Smartphone, while Nokia Lumia 525 runs on Windows Phone 8 OS.
