Associate Press Twitter account gets hacked, Tweets about an Explosion at the White House

Posted on April 23, 2013 by Dhawal D

If you follow and expect reliable news from your Favourite News company on their Twitter handle BEWARE.

Associate Press just tweeted abou 2 Bomb Blasts at the White House and Obama being injured. Some of the initial reactions were crazy and people going haywire of what is happened.

A few of the smart people pointed it out that the handle was hacked and it certainly was. Before it could spread further, Twitter/AP suspended the account and posted that the account was hacked and then the news was posted.

Some of the Twitter users did take a screenshot and here is one landed in our inbox a minute ago.
