Amazon has taken deployment of clouds apps to a new level by launching Marketplace, you don’t need to know or learn ways to use EC2, S3 to install them.
All you have to do is select the preconfigured 3rd Party application on the Amazon Marketplace on the AWS website and install them.
Use 1-Click launch to install an application running on your own EC2 server in moments. Or launch the same software via familiar tools like the AWS console or APIs.
Pay by the hour for software you run on your own EC2 server and receive a single bill from AWS; use free titles like Drupal, MySQL, and MediaWiki and only pay for EC2 infrastructure costs.
What more? you can sell your software by deploying it on AWS by simply submitting your software or the app as an Amazon Machine Image, all the other thing including billing, deployment et.al. will be handled by Amazon.
Install popular OSes, CMS, Security suites or even SAP Modules in a flash with just 1-click install.
Want to create an e-commerce solution on AWS, Go here and set it up in minutes.
AWS marketplace already has the most popular softwares from well-known vendors including CA,Canonical, Couchbase, Check Point, IBM, Microsoft, SUSE, Red Hat,SAP, and Zend as well as many widely used open source offerings, including WordPress, Drupal, and MediaWiki.
Perviously, it was a little difficult to install, configure and integrate apps with AWS but this is a welcoming move from Amazon.
