Privacy and Security are of huge concerns especially on the internet, there are various ways Google Chrome and other browsers allow you to maintain them, one of them being Incognito Mode, but what the physical Level security?
What if you’ve left your computer Logged in on your desk and someone just open a browsers, say Google Chrome and starts browsing with all the important information, bank details, Auto-fills, Password that it has, which belong to you?
Here is a simple Chrome extension called Simple Password Protect, This plugin protects your browser from an unauthorized access. It’s simple: you just enter a password and Save it. Every time you start the browser, it will ask a password, if you enter an incorrect password it immediately closes the browser.
To configure it, open the Google Chrome after you have installed the extension, and click on the Wrench menu (Settings icon located on the very right side of address bar). Then open Extensions. The Extension window will show all installed extensions in Google Chrome. Now find the Simple Startup Password from the list and click on Options of it.
Now, enter your password in the Enter Password field. Once done, just click Save and restart the browser.
