Here are some Less know Facts About Steve Jobs

1. Arrogant Customer Service Rep

Steve Jobs used to get about 300 emails a day to his Apple email address. He used to not reply to most of them, but every now and then he’d get his Gun out go wild on some poor kid. In 2010, a Long Island journalism student emailed Jobs on a whim after her repeated requests to Apple’s PR department for a quote went unanswered. Jobs’s response was a customer “Our goals do not include helping you get a good grade. Leave us alone.

2. No Charity

Did you all know that no matter how profitable Apple Inc. is, Steve, throughout his career as the CEO of the company, didn’t do any charity. Jobs just believed in putting his energy into improving the quality of life with his best inventions.

3. Steve was a Pescetarian

Steve used to just eat fish and no other meat. Now, even I was unaware of this fact that Steve is a pescetarian.

4. Brought a company which was under loss from George Lucas, renamed it to Pixar

After leaving Apple, Jobs had money to burn and felt like spending it. One of his most perplexing purchases was in 1986, when he paid George Lucas $5 million for the deeply unprofitable Graphics Group of Lucasfilm.

Lucas needed cash badly after his nasty divorce and the failure of Howard The Duck, and the Graphics Group – soon renamed Pixar – started trying to sell a high-end imaging computer to medical and government clients. The company was done. That is, until employee John Lasseter’s animation department started making commercials and then feature films. Soon, these new approaches saved Disney from total cultural irrelevance.

5. He used to Park in Handicap reserve parking at the Cupertino Campus, Apple’s HQ, 1, Infinite Loop.

When Jobs returned to Apple, his legendary temper came with him. As he aged, Jobs gave less and less of a crap about what people used to think of him, but some of his habits were particularly nasty.

Because Apple’s campus has no reserved parking spots, even for executives, Jobs tends to park his Mercedes (which doesn’t have a visible license plate, here is the secret) in the handicapped spot next to the door. He’s rich enough that he just pays the ticket whenever the cops are called and shrugs it off. God forbid any actual handicapped people want to visit the Cupertino campus when Steve is at work.

6. Employee Zero

Jobs’ legendary ego has been the subject of many a screed, but this interesting tale from the early days of Apple is very telling. After Jobs and Wozniak founded the company with Ronald Wayne, the initial Board of Directors decreed that every employee needed to be issued a name badge and an employee number based on their date of hire. Wozniak got number one, which left Jobs with number two. Needless to say, he wasn’t very happy about that, and made so much of a stink that the number two badge was retired and he was issued a new one… number zero.
