Google Chrome Browser is coming to Android Soon

A brief piece of code posted on Google’s Chromium Code website has confirmed that Chrome will be ported to Android. Although you may ask when is it happening, our money is on the browser being revealed as part of Ice Cream Sandwich Release event by Google and Samsung on the 19th of October 2011 in Hong Kong, 18th October in the US.

Google-Chrome-Android

Some would say Android already has Chrome  on the Honeycomb-based Android tablets. Certainly, if you own one of those, you’ll have noticed that the Android browser is skinned to look and feel almost exactly like Chrome on a PC.

For now, Chrome code suggest that it is lacking tabbed browsing and the plug-ins, Current competition in the Android Internet browser arena is pretty slim with Firefox, Opera and Dolphin HD the current market heavyweights. You can expect Chrome to make a big splash however, when it does finally make its way onto Android, as it did to the Mac and PC arena

All we can do is wait and watch.

Oh and BTW, the Ice cream sandwich event will be live telecasted on Android YouTube Channel, but folks in the UK/US would have to adjust time, stay awake late night as it will be hosted in Hong Kong 10 AM local time.
