Star Trek’s 46th Anniversary: Google Doodle goes where no Doodle has gone before

So, we’ve seen Google Doodles for almost all the events, birthdays and historic dates around the world, but today’s Google Doodle is a Doodle where no other Doodle has gone before, Star Trek.

The interactive doodle portrays the characters of the cult science fiction television series that aired on NBC in the US from September 8, 1966 to June 3, 1969 as letters of the Google logo and lets you participate a little interactive tale, but there are no points to earn though.

The Google letters have been have been remade to look like Star Trek Crew members and also has a story line in reference to the famous show.

‘G’ is Mr Spock, the first ‘O’ is Nyota Uhura and the second is that of James T Kirk, the commanding officer. ‘L’ seems to resemble Hikaru Sulu, The bridge of the Starship Enterprise opens up and the second ‘O’ and the ‘E’ go out of the red door to the transporter room and the transporter beams them to an unfriendly planet where they are challenged by an alien. On defeating the enemy they return back.
