Closing Ceremony Doodle on the sixteenth day of the London Olympics

Yes, Olympics has almost come to an end and the series of Olympics themed Google Doodles too, the final doodle is based on the closing ceremony of the London Olympics 2012.

The Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Summer Olympics will be on 12 August in the Stratford Olympic Stadium in London. The worldwide broadcast will get under way at 21:00 BST (UTC+01) and aim to finish by 23:45. There will be an estimated global audience of 750 million. The ceremony will include a handover to the next host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics, Rio de Janeiro.

London 2012 closing ceremony director plans ‘best aftershow party ever’, it is expected to be a musical sendoff. The Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games will be titled ‘A Symphony of British Music’, to celebrate the fact that music has been one of Britain’s strongest cultural exports over the last 50 years. The worldwide broadcast of the Ceremony will start at 9pm and feature more than 4,100 performers, including 3,500 adult volunteers and 380 schoolchildren from the six east London Host Boroughs.

Pop will take the podium when London bids farewell to the Olympics on Sunday, with a closing ceremony starring the Spice Girls, Annie Lennox, One Direction and a peculiarly British sense of humour.
