Today’s Google Doodle is Hurdles, There are sprint hurdle races and long hurdle races. The standard sprint hurdle race is 110 meters for men and 100 meters for women. The standard long hurdle race is 400 meters for both men and women. Each of these races is run over ten hurdles and they are all Olympic events.

Get ready in your Armchair and compete in the Olympics hurdles race on the Google homepage itself, with its interactive doodle, for today the 11th day of the London Olympics.

Use your left-right arrow keys to run and Spacebar to jump when the hurdles appear.

Once the race is over a score is displayed on the screen along with a star rating. An armchair hurdler managing a score lower than 11.8 seconds will get a three-star rating. Users can also share their Google armchair Olympic hurdles achievement on Google+.
