So Foursquare has gone ahead and enabled options to Like (love) Check-in along with the original comment option.

Now when you login to the #new4sq web interface you will see the difference.

As you can see the checkin now have a Love (<3) icon which allows your friends to love (like) your checkin with the regular comment on the same.

Along with this, when you go to a Venue page, on the top right you will now see a <3, </3 options, with a message that reads “Let us know how you like it.”, we’ve noticed that the option comes up only after you have 1 check-in to that particular venue.
